Commonly Asked Questions about DAI

DAI Restore handles every aspect of property damage restoration from the initial emergency service call to the post construction clean-up, and everything in between.

DAI Restore is a local and national family owned business. We opened our doors in 2011 and have more than 50 years combined experience. We are honest, experienced and with you every step of the way.

It is beneficial to reach out to DAI Restore first so we can help guide you along the way. Insurance companies may provide a random list of restoration vendors to choose from, however you can choose to work with DAI Restore. We assist our clients, as a liaison on your behalf, with your insurance company. However, we do not make the initial request to your insurance company, you are responsible to do that.

DAI Restore is on most insurance carriers preferred vendor list. We will work hand-in-hand with your adjuster to resolve your claim as quickly as possible.

We are not paid until we begin the Reconstruction Phase. After a mitigation loss a homeowner will have two options. The first is to allow DAI to bid for the reconstruction contract. Alternatively, the homeowner can obtain quotes from other contractors to complete the reconstruction phase.

It is important to understand that insurance companies will only cover reconstruction replacement cost at a depreciated value of what was pre-existing; thus returning a property back to its “pre-loss” existing state. Any and all upgrades requested by the client will be an up-charge and the difference will be the financial responsibility of the client for the reconstruction of a loss. For example, if you had vinyl countertops and now want granite, you are responsible for the difference in cost.
